About the Role

Peñate Medical Center is in search of a detail oriented Medical Coder.

**We are willing to train the right candidate!**

The Medical Coder is responsible for Code all medical services procedures (CPT) pharmaceuticals supplies, (HCPS) and patients’ diagnosis, symptoms, complaints, condition problem (ICD-10)

Medical Coder is required to manage various tasks of the organization he/she is working for.

Some of his job duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Review the notes prepared by the physicians and ensure that there is no mistake in these notes.

Also needs to see to it that the notes prepared have all the required information. In case any information is missing they need to contact the physician and get it filled, review the charts prepared by the physicians and rectify any problem occurring in them Qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements


High School Graduate – College Degree preferred


Medical Coding Certificate


required 2+ years of experience in Medical Coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPC) and Billing.>Testing required.


Strong understanding of medical coding, medical insurance reimbursement process and strong medical terminology.


Bi-lingual English/ Spanish preferred;


must be able to read, write and speak English.


Proficient in the use of Computer (Windows PC Applications) and HIPPA testing required


Customer Service skills and training Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish


Education Work experience Job-related skills Related license/ certification Preferred Criteria Associate degree preferred

About the Company

Our Medical Centers have been servicing the Miami Area Community for over 12 years. We are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with multiple locations. The office is closed on major holidays. Our practices are situated in high-traffic locations.***This position is for an Adult Care Facility and will require you to obtain certifications and training before beginning your employment, which will be reimbursed at the end of the 90 day trial period. ***
